Preparing timber for accurate joinery
A flat face and a straight edge make the next stage of a build easier. We prepare suitable timber for furniture, glue-ups and joinery.
Thicknessing and dressing
Bring suitable stock to a consistent finished thickness and prepare it for your furniture or joinery project. We check the requested dimensions and timber condition before confirming the job.
What to send for a machining enquiry
- Number of boards and timber species, if known
- Current length, width and thickness
- Required finished dimensions and the work you need
- Photos showing any cupping, twist, damage or previous use
- Your suburb and preferred timing
Allow enough material for cleanup
Bring timber with extra length, width and thickness to allow for flattening and cleanup. Reclaimed timber must be clean and free of nails, screws, concrete, paint and grit. Send photographs before bringing reclaimed material to the workshop.
